Mike’s Lights ("we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This page explains what information we collect when you visit this website or get in touch, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to answer you and do the work, and we never sell your information.

Information you give us

When you call us or text us, we receive the details you choose to share. That usually means your name, phone number, the address of the property, what you would like lit, the colors you like, and any photos you send. We use it to get back to you, to quote and schedule the work, and to do the work you asked about, and for nothing else.

The display designer

The display designer on the home page runs in your own browser. If you press the button to text your look to Mike, your phone opens a new text message with the color style and the places you picked already typed in. Nothing is sent to us until you send that text yourself.

Information collected automatically

This site does not run an analytics or advertising tag. The only information collected on its own is what any web server records: your IP address, your browser and device type, the page you asked for, and the time. Our web host keeps those logs to run the site and keep it secure, and we do not use them to work out who you are. If we add a tool to measure site traffic later, we will update this page and the date at the top.

Tools and services we use

A small number of third parties help run this site. Each one has its own privacy policy.

• Google Fonts serves the typefaces this site uses, which means your browser requests those font files from Google. See Google's privacy policy.
• Unsplash serves some of the photos on this site, which means your browser requests those image files from Unsplash. See Unsplash's privacy policy.
• Our web host keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, as part of running and securing the site.

Cookies

Cookies are small files your browser stores. This site does not set cookies for analytics or advertising, and if that ever changes we will say so here. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time and the site will still work normally.

How we use your information

• To reply to your message and to quote, schedule and carry out the work.
• To keep records of the properties we light and the conversations we have had.
• To keep the website running and secure, using the server logs described above.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone. We share it only with the services that help us deliver the work, such as the ones listed above, and only as far as they need it.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests and customer records for as long as we need them for the work and for our own business records. If you would like yours deleted sooner, ask and we will take care of it.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Call or text 479-445-7604 and we will take care of it.

Children's privacy

This site and our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time, for example if we add a new tool to the site. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top.
